API keys allow programmatic access to the Recipe Manager API. Use them in the Authorization: Bearer <your-api-key> header.

Connected Apps

Apps you have authorized through OAuth, such as Claude. To connect Claude, add a custom connector with the URL /mcp. Connected apps act as you with the permissions you approved, but can never use admin features (backup and restore, user management, API keys). Disconnecting revokes the app's access immediately.
